The detailed description of the Festivities of the Virgen del Socorr

We owe to the cultured priest Don Santiago Beyro y Martín one of the most complete, although little-known, descriptions of the festivities of Our Lady of Socorro in the 19th century, specifically those celebrated on September 7 and 8, 1888. It is extracted from the book on “ History and evolution of the Festivities of Our Lady of Socorro in Güímar ”, which we have in preparation.
